Who we are

A producer that trades.
A trader that mines.

Nihara Quartz controls production at three quarries in the Telangana region and procures high-quality quartz from associated mines in Gudur and other regions of Andhra Pradesh — backed by processing in the Kishangarh cluster and trading desks across three jurisdictions. Consistency and quality are the key for us: one accountable counterparty from bench to bill of lading.

Produce

Three quarries under our control

We control production at three quartz quarries in the Telangana region — 10,000 MT combined monthly capacity — with face-level grade control and bench-wise hand sorting before anything enters the ROM stream.

Process

Crushing & beneficiation

Ceramic-lined crushing, screening, high-pressure washing and rare-earth magnetic separation — producing sized lumps, grits and chips to contract PSD with iron pick-up controlled at every transfer point.

Trade

Multi-origin trading desk

Beyond own production, we source and trade audited third-party lots and run structured toll-processing programmes with qualified partners in China and Turkey — desks in Hyderabad, Istanbul and Xiamen.

Why Nihara Quartz

Three commitments.
Hold us to them.

Commitment 01

Best price-to-value. Always.

  • Economies of scale across three controlled quarries producing 10,000 MT a month, plus associated-mine procurement from Gudur and other AP regions.
  • Operations positioned for Krishnapatnam and Chennai loading — short, controlled mine-to-port legs.
  • Integrated logistics from mine gate to container yard: one margin, not a chain of middlemen.
Commitment 02

Best quality. Always.

  • Mechanized crushing and screening to eliminate undersize and oversize — size bands you can charge a furnace with.
  • Quality evaluation starts before mining — exploration assays, bench mapping and grade control — and continues through production and reclamation.
  • Every finished lot is tested twice: our onsite lab after production, then any third-party lab of the customer's choosing. Loading happens only when both results meet your specification.
Commitment 03

On-time delivery. Always.

  • 10,000 MT monthly capacity across three quarries — no single-mine bottleneck can stall your programme.
  • Multi-source supply: controlled Telangana production backed by associated mines in Andhra Pradesh.
  • Standing relationships with freight forwarders and carriers on our core lanes to China, Turkey and the Gulf.

Consistency and quality are the key for us.

Every commitment above is written into how we operate, not just how we market: assay-verified lots, the double-test protocol before loading, and multi-source capacity that keeps programmes on schedule. Send your specification and judge us shipment by shipment.

The geology

Why our veins run pure.

The mineral

Quartz is crystalline silica — SiO₂ — the oxide of silicon, an element that never occurs free in nature yet whose compounds make up roughly 28 percent of the Earth's crust. Silica appears as quartz in crystalline form; as chalcedony, agate, flint and jasper in cryptocrystalline forms; and as opal when hydrous. Among rock-forming minerals, only feldspar is more abundant.

What makes quartz industrially irreplaceable is the combination of properties in one cheap, common mineral: hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale, specific gravity around 2.65, vitreous lustre, no cleavage, high chemical and heat resistance, and — in pure, untwinned crystals — piezoelectricity, the property that put quartz in every watch and radio of the twentieth century.

Where it comes from

Quartz occurs in nearly all acid igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks, but industrial-grade material concentrates in two settings: hydrothermal veins — fissures in igneous bodies filled with exceptionally pure silica — and the consolidated secondary forms, quartzite and sandstone. Vein quartz associated with pegmatites is the premium category: it is where rock crystal and the highest-purity milky and glassy material are found.

Our deposits are exactly this type — pegmatite-associated vein quartz in the Peninsular Gneissic Complex of South India, among the oldest and cleanest silica veins on Earth, with assays in our best zones reaching 99.84% SiO₂.

Quartz in India

India's quartz production concentrates overwhelmingly in the southern states — Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu together account for the majority of national output. This is no accident: the Peninsular craton's ancient geology hosts the vein systems that matter. Our three controlled quarries sit in the Telangana heart of this belt, supplemented by procurement from associated mines in Gudur and other Andhra Pradesh regions.

A four-thousand-year industry

The first industry to consume silica at scale was glass — a craft already established four millennia ago, long before iron was smelted. The name "quartz" itself entered science in 1530 through Georgius Agricola, the German scholar-mineralogist, from the German "Quarz". Five centuries later, the same mineral feeds the newest industries on Earth: every silicon chip, every solar cell and every fibre-optic strand begins as quartz.

Evidence, not instinct

Development plans built on exploration assays and bench-level data analysis — we mine where the chemistry says to, not where the excavator happens to be.

Sustainability

Measured, monitored, improved

Water, dust and land-use metrics tracked at each site, with phased reclamation planned into every mining programme from day one.

Direct relationship

Producer to consumer

You buy from the party that controls the bench, the crusher and the container — no traders in the middle marking up material they've never seen.

Documentation

Audit-ready, always

Mining leases, transit permits, export registrations and per-lot certificates maintained for buyer due diligence at any time.

Visit the mines: for programme-scale buyers we arrange site visits with two weeks' notice — including bench sampling under your supervision.

FAQ

What buyers ask first.

What is your minimum order quantity?
One 20' container (≈27 MT net) for trial lots. Steady-state programmes typically run 5–20 containers per month per grade. Smaller courier samples (5–25 kg) are available for lab qualification before any commercial commitment.
Can you supply against our own specification?
Yes. Our grade sheet reflects typical production, but most programmes run against buyer-specific guaranteed specs. Send your target chemistry and size band; we confirm feasibility from current bench assays before quoting.
How do you control iron contamination during processing?
Hand sorting rejects iron-stained lumps before crushing; the circuit uses ceramic-lined contact surfaces where practical; and crushed fractions pass rare-earth magnetic separation. Fe₂O₃ is assayed on every composite, and lots that drift above the contract ceiling are downgraded, not shipped.
Do you supply high-purity quartz (HPQ) sand, or only lumps?
Our core products are lumps, grits and chips. For beneficiated HPQ sand, we run toll-processing programmes through qualified partners — we supply the feed, manage the processing contract, and deliver upgraded product under a single commercial relationship.
Which ports and destinations do you serve?
Loading from Krishnapatnam, Chennai and Mundra. Established lanes run to Shuitou/Xiamen (China), Gemlik and Aliağa (Turkey), Jebel Ali (UAE), and Southeast Asian ports. Other destinations quoted on request.
How is payment structured for a first order?
Trial lots typically run on advance-plus-balance-against-documents or irrevocable LC at sight. Established programmes move to LC usance or DP terms. We are flexible within properly secured structures.
Can we visit the mines and processing facility?
Yes — for programme-scale buyers we encourage it. Site visits to the South Indian deposits and the Rajasthan processing line are arranged with two weeks' notice, including bench sampling under your supervision if desired.
